As CEO of Onyx Petroleum from 1984 – 2000, John’s insight and leadership built the company into a marketer of products covering 48 states, specializing in national fleet accounts, government, utilities, airlines, retailers and EPA compliance. John now serves as CEO of Indigo Energy, part of the Indigo family of companies founded in 2000. As a distributor of petroleum products nationwide, Indigo Energy strives for continued excellence in customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technology.

David Mansfield

David Mansfield has 10 years of experience in the fuel industry. He began his career with Indigo in government bids and sales. In this department he learned all facets of the industry from procurement, taxes, licenses, contracting, sales, and dispatch. After two years’ experience in government fuels he moved into commercial sales. His customer base consisted of regional petroleum companies, larger convenience store chains, and national trucking companies.

Following his five years as an account executive, David advanced to Director of Sales. He was responsible for overseeing the entire sales team and implementing a new go-to-market plan and operating system.

Looking to the future, David, along with John Mansfield, decided to examine alternative energy sources with a focus in solar energy. Over the last eighteen months David has researched prospects of the solar industry and begun to sell to a targeted customer base. In the first year he completed a 100kW system on a distribution center in Norcross, GA. Since then he has continued to focus on commercial and industrial companies.

As of November 2019, he has assumed the new role as President of Indigo. In this position he will manage both the fuel and solar sales forces.
